When to Apply for Admission

You can file an application to attend a California community college at almost any time. Most colleges encourage you to apply as early as possible. However, many colleges will accept an application right up to the beginning of classes.

One advantage of applying early is that you can often register for classes much earlier. As a result, you may have a better choice of classes. Also, most colleges have an assessment requirement and applying early provides time to meet this requirement.
